About this event
Academic Collaboration
Beforethepritzker founder Teona Kuljanishvili was selected through Sapienza University of Rome to participate as an invited tutor, mentoring a team of three architecture students throughout the design process.
The workshop involved academic figures including Prof. Mosè Ricci, Diana Ciufo, Prof. Pino Scaglione, and Giacinto Donvito, with the involvement of local institutions and the MEDEA research initiative.
Workshop Focus
The workshop investigated the relationship between agricultural landscapes, urban settlements, river ecosystems, and cultural heritage.
Participants developed proposals addressing flood adaptation, ecological networks, sustainable mobility, public space regeneration, and connections between archaeological and contemporary landscapes.
An International Learning Experience
The workshop provided an opportunity to connect academic research with real territorial challenges through site visits, collaborative design, interdisciplinary discussions, and engagement with local representatives.
For Beforethepritzker, this experience reflects the importance of international academic exchange, collaborative learning, and the role of young architects in shaping more resilient environments.
